Venezuela has ordered a dozen Italian Aermacchi SF-260E trainers to replace its old T-34s (with options for another dozen aircraft). For advanced pilot training, Venezuela had previously announced plans to buy Italian MB-339FDs, but this order has been canceled. Instead, Venezuela will buy a dozen AMX-T trainers made by Embraer (with options for 24 more).--Stephen V Cole
