Kawasaki Heavy Industries has delivered the first OH-1 light helicopter to the Japanese Army. This is the first all-Japan helicopter. The Army has eight of these aircraft on order and eventually wants to buy 190 to replace its 193 OH-6Ds. The OH-1 weights 3,500kg and is powered by two 800hp TS1 engines.--Stephen V Cole
