The Swiss Army has ordered its first 10 Piranha-3 armored cars from MOWAG. These 8x8 wheeled vehicles will be configured as command post vehicles. MOWAG is expected to complete deliveries of 515 Piranha-II 8x8 armored cars by the end of 2002. The Swiss Army has selected the Eagle-III Artillery Forward Observer Vehicle and plans to order 120. The Swiss Army has previously ordered hundreds of Eagle-I and Eagle-II vehicles from MOWAG. The Eagle 4x4 combat vehicle is a modified US Army Humvee.--Stephen V Cole
