The results of months of testing 35 wheeled and tracked "medium" armored vehicles at Fort Knox have been classified. None of the vehicles reportedly performed up to Army expectations, and those factions of the Army which support the Medium Brigade concept are scrambling to redefine it. Standards are being defined downward in an effort to get some of the vehicles to pass. The medium tank destroyers were required to be able to shoot on the move; this requirement was dropped when none of them could do it.-Stephen V Cole
