The Czech Ministry of Defense is negotiating with the Czech government to get the $538 million needed to modernize 140 T-72 tanks into the T-72 M40CZ variant. (The Czech Army has 540 T-72s and it is unclear what would happen to the other 400. Probably, some will be sold, possibly after being upgraded, and others would be stored so they could be upgraded and used or sold later.) --Stephen V Cole
