The US and Britain have dropped plans to produce a new tracked armored recon vehicle under the program known as TRACER in Britain and FSCS in the US. The US spent $6.1 billion on the project; Britain spent $1.74 billion. Both insist that the money is not wasted, but went for technologies that will be used in other projects.--Stephen V Cole
