Singapore had unveiled its new armored vehicle launched bridge, which is carried on a modified Bionix armored personnel carrier. The bridge launcher mechanism was created by the German MAN company which provides the German Army with its bridges and launchers. The bridge is 22m long and can bridge a 20m gap. While the bridge is Military Load Class 30, doctrine calls for two such bridges to be laid side-by-side to carry heavier vehicles up to MLC60. The bridge is in two sections and launches horizontally, like all modern military launched bridges.--Stephen V Cole
