The US Air Force is studying future Radio Frequency pulse weapons. Modern systems have so many electronics built in that they are susceptible to bursts of what amount to microwaves. Weapons of this type would have very long range, be impervious to weather, and would have a virtually limitless magazine.--Stephen V Cole
