Procurement: Red Wings Over Indonesia

Archives

August 25, 2007: Indonesia is buying six more jet fighters from Russia (three Su-30s and three Su-27s) for $50 million each. Indonesia already has four (two Su-30s and two Su-27s) of these aircraft. Neighboring Malaysia is also buying Russian (MiG-29s), but all of the other neighbors have U.S. aircraft (mostly F-16s and F-18s).
