ARABIAN GULF (Dec. 31, 2014) Boatswain's Mate 2nd Class Carlglo A. Rula, from Bacolod City, Philippines, signals an Army Apache helicopter attached to 4th Battalion 501st Aviation Regiment to land on the flight deck of the dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45). Comstock, part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, is deployed in support of maritime and theater security cooperation in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
