SHOALWATER BAY, Australia (June 26, 2007) � An Australian army Soldier fires his weapon during a training exercise in support of Exercise Talisman Saber 2007 (TS07). TS07 is designed to enhance the combat readiness and interoperability between U.S. and Australian military forces, is conducted in Australia and focuses on crisis action planning and execution of contingency response operations. This biennial event is the largest-ever joint/combined training exercise in the region consisting of more than 9,000 U.S. and 7,500 Australian personnel conducting land, sea and air evolutions.
