Two Taliban leaders recently captured by Afghan troops, were turned over to American forces for interrogation and investigation. American intelligence efforts have built an extensive picture of the Taliban organization. Data from this effort is shared with the Afghan government, for the planning or raids, or the formulation of negotiating tactics. In return, the Afghans turn over senior Taliban leaders for questioning.
