India has conducted a second successful test firing of the solid-fuel Agni-II medium-range ballistic missile. This weapon has a range of 2,200 kilometers and can carry a 1,000kg warhead. The was the first test launch from the "operational configuration" mobile launcher. India claimed that the missile landed within 100m of its target.--Stephen V Cole
