Tensions are increasing on the Chinese border with India. The border in the Sikkim area has always been in dispute and now the Chinese are destroying Indian border markers in mountain regions. India has protested, and the Chinese have backed off, but the timing of this sort of thing makes India nervous, considering the current tension between India and Pakistan (China's long time ally.) Fighting across the Line of Control in Kashmir left two Indian soldiers dead. Shelling across the Line of Control left one Pakistani civilian dead.
