The Supreme Court, controlled by Islamic conservatives, overturned the death sentences of six Islamic radicals convicted of killing over a dozen people. The killers belonged to the Islamic paramilitary Basij organization and killed people they thought were "unIslamic." This outraged the locals in the southeastern city of Kerman, and the six men were convicted of the killings last May. But the Supreme Court said the murderers were "religious men" and that the confessions were "forced." There were plenty of witnesses for many of the killings. And since the six were arrested, there have been 13 more murders by other Basij vigilantes.

Iran has recalled its ambassador from Britain. 

Britain has shut it's embassy in Iran after someone fired five shots at the embassy building.
