The fighting escalated as Hizbollah resumed fighting in the Lebanese border. An Israeli soldier was killed and two others wounded by a Hizbollah attack in the Shebaa farms area, Israel retaliated by bombing suspected Hizbollah bases in south Lebanon. Israel holds Lebanon and Syria responsible for keeping Hizbollah under control. But Lebanon, despite the UN approving the current border, still claims the Shebaa farms area.  In Gaza, a Hamas leader was killed by a bomb, and his followers accused the Israelis of doing the need. Over twenty Palestinian leaders have been killed deliberately by Israel in the past few months. Two bombs went off in a suburb of Tel Aviv, leaving one man wounded. Gun battles continued in Gaza.
