Attacks like this are difficult for the Palestinians to prevent, given the dozens of Palestinian radical organizations that believe in the destruction of Israel. Israelis back prompt and decisive retaliation for these attacks. Particularly popular with Israelis (getting a 70 percent approval rating) are attacks on individual terrorist leaders.
