The majority of Israelis and Palestinians believe (according to opinion surveys) that the Palestinian radicals will not honor any peace deal worked out and will only use the 90 day truce to rebuild their battered terrorist organizations. The Israelis are going along with the peace effort because to do otherwise would endanger billions of dollars in aid Israel receives each year from the US, and economic and diplomatic relations with European nations. Israel is apparently maintaining its aggressive intelligence gathering and ready to strike at terrorist groups if the attacks continue. Meanwhile, the terrorist groups continue to openly recruit in Palestinian territories. It is believed that the terrorist groups continue to plan attacks. There are still sniping and mortar attacks on Jewish settlers in Palestinian territory.
