 The crew of the RC-135 intercepted by North Korean warplanes on March 2nd believe that the North Korean pilots were making hand signals ordering the American aircraft to follow the jets to North Korea and land (so the crew could be taken hostage.) The American pilot ignored the North Koreans and the North Koreans did not open fire, their bluff having failed.
