Sri Lankan rebels, noted for their use of suicide bomber attacks, are reported to be training Nepalese Maoists in such tactics in a camp in Nepal. Maoists have been cooperating with Maoists across the border in India, even joining forces for attacks in India. Meanwhile, the Maoists continue their terror war to destroy the Nepalese economy, and thus, in classic Maoist fashion, weaken the government and drive more people to join the revolution. In practical terms, the Maoists tactics are mainly making it more difficult for farmers to operate. As a result there is increasing starvation in remote parts of the country. The government can't always get food aid through because of the rebel ambushes and destruction of roads and bridges. The rebels can't supply food either, but offer to let young men and women join rebel combat units, and move away to areas where there is more food to steal or extort from local farmers.
