The leaders of the OPC (a Christian Yoruba group) have been arrested, as that organization has been held responsible for the recent violence. About a hundred were killed, most of them Moslem Hausas from the north. Altogether, 204 people have been arrested for participating in the violence. US Army instructors have begun training Nigerian troops. Although Nigeria has a large army it is generally considered undisciplined, poorly trained, badly led and corrupt.
