The Israeli military has set up its new Field Intelligence Corps (i.e., military intelligence branch). Previously, the infantry, armor, engineers, artillery, and other Corps (branches) each operated their own tactical intelligence units. The Field Intelligence Corps will operate under Ground Forces Command. The existing Intelligence Corps, which serves the Ground Forces, Navy, and Air Force, will remain focused on strategic intelligence issues.--Stephen V Cole
