Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas, is also a political group, and is becoming increasingly popular among Palestinians. Hamas officials are much less corrupt than the current Palestinian officials, and this is very popular with Palestinians. Equally popular is the Hamas goal of destroying Israel. Hamas receives over 80 percent of its money (over $50 million a year) from Iran and wealthy donors in Saudi Arabia and the other Gulf  States. Most of this is spent on social projects, but over twenty percent goes into maintaining militias, and terrorists.
